Highlighted Betting Notes:

#1 Tennessee (-17.5) vs Missouri (144)
#1 Tennessee (20-1) is in action tonight looking for their school record 17th straight overall win taking on SEC rival Missouri (12-9) as -17.5 pt road favorites.  The Volunteers are 8-2 ATS during their last 10 games and will be looking to continue their dominance as 8 of their last 11 SU wins during their consecutive win streak have come by no less than 17 points! Missouri comes in fresh off a 77-67 win over a fiesty Vanderbilt squad Saturday at home when they were 3 pt favorites. The Vols beat the Tigers 87-63 back on Jan 8th on the road and easily covered as -8 point favorites. Missouri guard Mark Smith, who sprained his left ankle at Arkansas on Jan. 23, did not practice on Friday. Missouri coach Cuonzo Martin said “We’ll see if Smith if he is able to go.” Smith has missed the last two games. Missouri has struggled shooting from deep, not eclipsing the 30 percent mark in either game.
Star forwards SF Admiral Schofield (16.8 pts/gm) & PF Grant Williams (20.4 pts/gm) continue to play as the best one-two tandem in the country leading the Vols to the #1 ranking atop the polls helping to lead the club to the second-best shooting team percentage (51.6%) in the nation. The Vols have 20 straight at home, but the books have inflated this line, and this will be a tough number to get behind laying versus the SEC’s top 3-point shooting club with a healthy Smith. The question will be Mark Smith playing or not-keep an eye out for the injury update.
#10 Marquette (-6.5) vs St. John’s (154.5)
The Golden Eagles (19-3) are at home as -6.5 point favorites aiming to extend their eight game winning streak versus St. John’s (16-6) in a Big East clash. Marquette, second in the Big East behind defending National Champion Villanova, will be looking to avenge their 89-69 road loss to the Red Storm back on Jan 1st.  This game will feature two of the best guards in the country as the Big East’s leading scorer Marcus Howard (25 pts/gm) squares off with the Johnnie’s dynamic Shamorie Ponds (20.4 pts/gm). SJU is coming off a no-show 91-61 loss at Duke over the weekend and is just 2-5 in their last seven games overall.
This game has revenge written all over it. The play here is to lay the 6.5 at home with the Golden Eagles (7-1 ATS at home in lat 8 games) as Howard shines again and goes for 24+ for the fifth straight game. The Golden Eagles wont take the Red Storm lightly this time around and will be ready on their home court as Howard will look to bounce back from his 2-15 shooting (8 pts) vs SJU last month.
#9 Michigan (-10) at Rutgers (126)

#5 Michigan (20-2) are on the road tonight to take on Rutgers (13-6) looking to extend their winning streak versus the boys from Piscataway to 11 straight. The Wolverines enter the contest off a 74-59 loss to #20 Iowa falling out of the top five in both polls. Michigan HC John Beilein didnt sugar-coat his teams latest effort calling it “probably our worst performance of the year.” The last two meetings at the Rack in NJ have been decided by eight points combined.  As we have often stated here at VW, sports bettors often say “Good Teams win, but great teams COVER.” Well, Michigan (11-11 ATS) & Rutgers (10-11 ATS) backers have been burned at the window more 50% of the time as the clubs have gone 21-22 ATS combined.

This one seems to be easy on paper, as the Wolverines are 5-3 ATS in their 8 road games, but it wouldnt surprise us to see Michigan bounce back with the SU ‘W’ but by less than the ten points needed to cover tonight.  Our lean here would be to grab the points.
