Big NCAA Hoops Top 25 Tuesday Night Slate …

With the NCAA Football season ending last night it is now time to really focus on the action heating up on the hardwood. As the Vegas Whispers family is well aware of the–sharps swept the board in College hoops last Thursday going 6-0 ATS! Here is the Top 25 betting board tonight….

#1 Duke -21  at Wake Forest (154)

#3 Tennessee (-8.5) at Missouri (138.5)

#18 Kentucky (-14.5)  vs Texas A&M  (144)

#19 Buffalo (-9.5) vs Toledo (156.5)

#20 Iowa State  (-2.5) at Baylor (137)

Villanova (-6) vs #24 St. John’s (147.5)

#6 Michigan State (-7.5) vs Purdue (152.5)

#8 Texas Tech (-7) vs #23 Oklahoma (133)

#15 NC State (-1.5) vs #12 North Carolina (171.5)

#14 Mississippi St (-5.5) at South Carolina (149)

Highlighted Betting Notes:
Zion Williamson #1 Duke Blue Devils (12-1) are back in action tonight vs ACC rival Wake Forest (7-6) as 21 pt road favorites.  Duke is 7-3 ATS last 10 games and will be looking to win their 8th game in a row SU. Duke ranks 3rd among all D-1 teams in scoring at 91.2 pts per game and should cruise to an easy victory tonight.
The #19 Buffalo Bulls (13-1) will host Toledo (12-2) in a MAC Conference game this evening. Bulls Sr PG CJ Massinburg who averages 17.8 pts per contest is a name to remember come March, as he is the type of player to help a team make a deep run. The Bulls are 9-3-1 ATS in their 13 games so this season and will look to win their third straight vs Toledo after sweeping last season’s matchups.
Villanova (11-4), the defending National Champions, finds themselves in an unfamiliar position tonight as they take on one of the surprise teams in college basketball so far this season–#24 St. Johns (14-1). You would have to go back to the age of black and white TVs to find the last time St. Johns was ranked and Villanova was not when they face off. I’m kidding of course but it has been a long time as Villanova has become a NCAA blue blood winning two National Championships in the last 3 years. However, this a year of transition for the Wildcats as they lost 4 stars to the NBA from last season’s squad. PG Shamorie Ponds is a star on every level and currently is leading the Red Storm with an avg of 20.4 pts per game. This line is one of the fishiest on the board with the boys in the desert making the ‘Cats -6 pt favorites vs a St Johns team that is only 6-8-1 ATS in their 14 games burning backers for a 14-1 team—but dont forget SJU went into Philly and handed the eventual National Champion ‘Cats in one of their few losses all season on their home court.
The two top defensive teams in the Big 12 square off as #23 Oklahoma (12-2) takes on the #8 Texas Tech (13-1). Oklahoma has been a cash cow for their backers going 12-1-1 ATS, while Red Raiders’ backers have been burned at the counter going a putrid 5-9 ATS in their 14 games. With two stellar defensive squads it would be hard for us to lay such a big number in this match up. It will be interesting to see if the sharps find value in grabbing the points tonight with the Sooners.
The second game on the board tonight that pits two Top 25 ranked foes features #12 UNC (11-3) versus in-state ACC rival #15 NC State (13-1). The Wolf Pack are off to one of their best starts in decades and this will be a true eye test as to how good this NC State quad truly is. UNC is only 8-4-2 ATS so far but NC State backers have been rewarded mightily with a 11-3 ATS so far. UNC has won five of the last six meetings SU as well as five straight in Raleigh in the Wolf Pack’s home den. This should be the game of the night.
